Natural gas pressure "MR-stations" (1985-90)
This product was developed for Naturgas Midt/Nord - more than 150 units are build. Before this task, I have been delivering gasmeter boxes to Midt/Nord.

The problem:
MidtNord delivers natural gas in Jutland, using high pressure pipelines. Before pipes to consumers, gaspressure are reduced in MR-stations. But there is a risk, that they explode. Strict security and safety regulations are normal with 2m high fences, babed wire and long explosion safe distance. This results in very unfriendly elements in landscape and suburban areas.

The solution:
Using heavy concrete elements, tilted inwards counteract explosion, and 2 hinged roofparts opens and direct the explosion upwards without harming the surroundings. Security distance is now insignificant.
Heavy steel doors opens invard as well.
The outer walls may have brick or stone surface.
Low placed vent holes make vandalism possible and barbed wire needed. With special shaped vent holes in high position it is prevented to throw burning items into the station, and a low, friendly fence is enough.
